Make your reservations early for the following Theme Weekends here at Cherokee KOA. The kabins and the best campsites fill very early for these fun filled weekends. There are all kinds of activities and events going on during these weekends you won't want to miss the fun.
March
30 - April 1, 2007
$2,500 Trout Fishing Tournament
Cast your line for a chance at a big one! Compete with other anglers for a total of $2,500 in prizes. It's no fish story - come out and enjoy the fun! Some of the finest trout fishing in the eastern United States is located on the Cherokee Indian Reservation adjacent to the KOA Camping Resort. The Raven Fork River flows along one side of the campground with great fishing for those who prefer stream fishing. If you prefer pond fishing, you'll find three Tribal-owned trout ponds framing the west boundary of KOA. All are stocked twice weekly. A Tribal fishing license is all you need to catch up to 10 trout per day. Fishing is permitted on the Reservation from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.

Easter Eggstravaganza
Hop on over for our Easter party. Bring your basket for our Easter egg hunt, crafts, and movies at the outdoor cinema. It will be an Easter "eggstravaganza"!
13th - 15th
Customer Appreciation Weekend
We'll be thanking our campers with free breakfast, free mini-golf, and bounce time on the jumping pillow. Here's to you, our fantastic camping guests.
20th - 22nd
Scavenger Hunt Weekend
Join us for a campground-wide scavenger hunt. Later, we'll enjoy crafts, games, and movies at our outdoor cinema.
27th - 29th
Pot Luck Dinner
Prepare one of your family's favorite recipes to share with other campers at our community potluck weekend. We'll provide campground-wide entertainment all weekend long.
May
4th - 6th
Kids' Fishing Tournament
It's no fish story...kids get a turn, too! Cast your line for a chance at a big one. Little anglers will compete for the top spot in the competition.
11th - 13th
Camp and Care for Mother's Day
Celebrate Mom and camp for a cause, all in one weekend. Stay and pay for Friday, and Saturday is FREE. Special events and activities will benefit KOA Cancer Care Camps. Make Mom a gift and take her to breakfast, too.
18th - 20th
Mardi Gras Weekend
We're celebrating Fat Tuesday all weekend long! There will be beads, a kids' Mardi Gras parade and a make-your-own Mardi Gras shirt event.
25th - 28th
Memorial Day Weekend
Come and share one of the biggest camping weekends of the year. Lots of things to do in the area. Show you're proud, have the biggest U.S. Flag display at your kabin, kottage or RV site and win a prize.
June
1st - 3rd
Native American Heritage Weekend
We'll honor the rich Native American history of the area all weekend long. Join us for games and crafts with indigenous flavor. Indian dancer, storyteller and a whole lot more. You'll learn a great deal about the history of the Cherokee people. Indian Tacos will be served also.
8th - 10th
Caribbean Weekend
We'll celebrate the flair of the Caribbean during our weekend of fun. Join us for games and crafts with island flair. Relax beside the pool. Add a few palm trees to your site and feel right at home.
15th - 17th
50's Weekend and Father's Day
Shake, rattle and roll on in with your pop for a weekend of retro fun for all ages. Dance to the tunes of the 50's and 60's. Contest for the best 50's outfit or car hop outfit. Fathers enjoy free pancakes on Sunday.
July
July 1st - 31st
July fun every day of the month
We'll kick off the month with our patriotic celebration and we will keep it up all month long! Join us for games, crafts and fun! Live bands will perform every Saturday night. Sit in at our church service on Sunday with friends and fellow campers. Then take in a group campfire on the island.
August
3rd - 5th
Pool Party and Flea Market Day
Bring your wares and sell them at our Flea Market weekend. There will be plenty of selling and shopping for the entire family. Enjoy the music by the pool, participate in the best old-fashion bathing suit contest and win a prize.
5th - 11th
Grandchildren Week
Mom and dads had their turn; now let's celebrate grandparents and grandkids! Grab your grandkids, or borrow someone else's for this weekend of celebrating with games, crafts, movies, and fun.
17th - 19th
50's and 60's Weekend
We'll champion poodle skirts, tie-dye and flower power at our 50's and 60's weekend romp.
24th - 26th
$5,000 Trout Tournament
Cast your line for a chance at a big one! Compete with other anglers for a total of $5,000 in prizes.

Halloween's almost here and we're celebrating early...again. Get your costumes ready for a spooktacular time of trick-or-treating and scary story swapping around the campfire.
26th - 28th
The REAL One - Halloween Weekend
It's finally here! Don your costumes and brush up your storytelling skills. We'll have trick-or-treating and scary campfire story time. Join in on the Halloween parade, pumpkin carving contest (all ages) and coloring contest.
November

Thanksgiving Weekend
We'll offer a cornucopia of fun at our Thanksgiving weekend. Come celebrate with us and give thanks for family and country.
